Erotic Influence
Missy Jane
Sequel to Erotic Images

Annie may be a shy twentysomething who spends her days keeping track of her wayward teenage sister, but Rick noticed her living across the street as soon as he moved in. Now he can’t stop fantasizing his sweet, innocent neighbor and wanting her has become an obsession. He just has to convince her to give him a chance instead of always running away.
Annie has plans for her life but has to help her sister get into college first. Then Rick comes along and proves to be a help as much as a distraction. All she has to do is pose for his friend, an erotic photographer. Not only will she earn the money needs for her sister’s college fund, Rick’s erotic influence just might liberate her enough to become his woman too. It’s a chance she’s more than willing to take…so long as no one finds out what she’s doing.

A Romantica® contemporary erotic romance
from Ellora’s Cave

Ms. Missy Jane is the alter ego of a married mother of four who was born and raised in Texas. A few years ago she finished reading a book by Mercedes Lackey and thought "Now, what if..." and a monster was created. Missy now spends most of her time lost in worlds of her own making, alternately loving and hating such creatures as vampires, shape-shifters and gargoyles (to name a few). When not writing, she spends her time reading, taking photos of her beautiful daughters and training her husband to believe she's always right.

Book Review: THE CHANGELING and STORMBRINGERS by Phillipa Gregory

Being a fan of Philippa Gregory's adult historical fiction, I was very excited to pick up this series.  And I must say, I was not disappointed.

Gregory once again manages to show us why the Dark Ages were so dark.  The story fully shows the unenlightened and often barbaric society, driven by a superstitious, and corrupt governance from the Church.

My favorite thing about the way Gregory writes, is how she weaves magic into the story, but somehow, you are never really sure that magic is actually at work or not (which is how the people performing the magic in the story often feel).

The story is a mystery, a love story, a coming of age story, with a twist from the supernatural, and a realistic look at medieval society: it's prejudices and ignorant discrimination, and it's superstitions, as well as it's corrupt nature.

If you are a fan of Gregory's adult historical fiction, you won't mind at all that the two main characters are teens. I loved both books and anxiously await Order of Darkness Series - Book #3  FOOL'S GOLD, sometime this year.

About Kimberley Montpetit:

Kimberley Montpetit once spent all her souvenir money at the La Patisserie shops when she was in Paris—on the arm of her adorable husband. The author grew up in San Francisco, another swoon-worthy city, loves all things Parisian and chocolate and lives in a small town along the Rio Grande with her family.
Kimberley has won many awards for her work, including the Southwest Book Award, the Whitney Award, the Arizona/New Mexico Book Award, is a Crystal Kite Finalist (SCBWI) and included in the Bank Street College Best Books of the Year.
She once stayed in a haunted castle tower room at Borthwick Castle in Scotland, sailed on the Seine in Paris, walked the beaches of Normandy, eaten in numerous French cafes, ridden a camel in Petra, Jordan, sunbathed on Waikiki, shopped the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, and spent the night in an old Communist hotel in Bulgaria.
She adores all baked goodies; brownies, ├ęclairs, donuts, tarts, and pie, and makes a lot of chocolate chip cookies while revising.
Kimberley is, of course, hard at work on her next novel(s).
