Coming May 29, 2014

You don't win the heart of an immortal assassin without making a few enemies along the way. Kristia Tostenson prefers Earl Grey to Grey Goose and book clubs to nightclubs, but when she transfers from her one-stoplight town to Cardiff University in Wales she falls in love with Ull Myhr. Her new boyfriend isn't exactly what she was expecting. He's an honest to goodness Norse God - an immortal assassin fated to die at Ragnarok, the battle destined to destroy Asgard and Earth. Kristia's crazy visions are the only thing that can save their realms.

Her orderly life just got very messy.

Tur: An Elsker Saga Novella

Inga Andersson is the envy of every girl in Asgard. On the

But when evil invades Asgard, her perfect world comes crashing down. Someone is planning to kill off the gods, and Inga’s best friend Ull is first on their list. With the Norse apocalypse a nanosecond away, Inga has to decide how she’ll spend her final moments of freedom. Because from the moment this battle begins, Inga’s happily ever after will be nothing more than a memory.

ONE LUCKY NIGHT BLOG TOUR: Author Interview with Constance Phillips

Today, I have the pleasure of hosting an interview with ONE LUCKY NIGHT author/contributor Constance Phillips.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by Constance!

Author Bio:
Constance Phillips lives in Ohio with her husband, two ready-to-leave-the-nest children, and four canine kids. Her perfect fantasy vacation would involve hunting Dracula across Europe with her daughter, who also digs that kind of stuff.

My Interview with Constance:

ME: I LOVE Sean and Lexi!  Where did you come up with the character Lexi and all of her complexities?  Is the character based on anyone you know?

CONSTANCE: Lexi was a fun character to write, but as I wrote the early scenes I was learning about her right along with Sean.  It wasn't until I wrote the scene in the alley behind the Brazen Head that I was able to work through her conflict and motivation.

All of my characters get pieces of me and pieces of people I know. Lexi isn't based on one person, she's a mosaic of many.

ME: Sean, what a hottie!  I love that you made him "Sweet Sean".  I've known quite a few bartenders in my lifetime.  Ever know a "Sweet Sean" before?

CONSTANCE: I loved the hottie side of Sean too, but I knew pretty early into Lexi's Chance that I wanted to turn the perception of him on his head. I liked the idea of his flirting being part of a defense mechanism. And yes, I did know a bar tender once who does remind me a lot of who Sean became.

ME: In keeping with the "luck" theme, the elderly gentleman represents something not quite "of this world".  My first inclination was to consider him a leprechaun. Can you tell us about this character?

CONSTANCE: We authors refer to him as "the luck bringer." None of us dug any deeper than what you see on the page. I think the mystery is what makes it fun.

ME: Romance takes some back-story. How different was it for you to write a short story versus the novel-length story you are used to writing?

CONSTANCE: This is actually the second short story I wrote, (Council Courtship is the other). I do find then challenging, but also a lot of fun. I enjoy writing them with connecting stories, because I also enjoy developing  larger stories too.

ME: Which is easier for you to write? Paranormal/Fantasy or Contemp Romance?

CONSTANCE: I really love them both, but paranormal is a first love for me and I look forward to getting back to writing a paranormal story soon. My next three releases will be contemporary, though.

ME: I see you have a book due out in August.  Can you tell us more about it?

CONSTANCE: The Ultimate Catch is essentially romance on an Alaskan Crab fishing boat, I've always been a huge fan of the show the Deadliest Catch. When I heard an interview with a captain saying it was bad luck to have a woman on the boat, I knew I wanted to do something with that.

The heroine, Jolanda, needs to make money to pay a balloon payment. She makes a bet with Keller and ...well, I'll let you read the book to find out what happens!

ONE LUCKY NIGHT is LIVE!!!

Happy book birthday (a few days late)
to One Lucky Night!

One night can change everything…

The crew at Boston’s Brazen Head Pub hasn’t been very lucky in love. Can a mysterious visitor inspire them to look past old hurts and misconceptions and give romance a chance? One Lucky Night is a collection of five sexy interwoven novelettes by Aria Kane, Grace Teague, Ana Blaze, Constance Phillips, and Melinda Dozier.

Lucky Break by Aria Kane
Four years ago, chef Derek Chase walked out of Andrea Rivera’s life after a tragedy neither of them were prepared to deal with. When she’s called to the Brazen Head to repair a dishwasher, old sparks ignite buried feelings.

Lucky Star by Grace Teague
When her life is threatened by a mugger, Charlotte Price realizes she's in love with her best friend, Tommy Leung. The Brazen Head seems like the perfect neutral place to confess her feelings, but nothing goes according to plan.

A New Tune by Ana Blaze
When it comes to dating, Holly Hall has one unbreakable rule: no musicians. Not even gorgeous ones. Especially not gorgeous ones. Dating them only leads to heartbreak. So why did she let singer-songwriter Cian O’Neill kiss her? And why is she thinking about doing it again?

Lexi’s Chance by Constance Phillips
As a bartender, Sean Whelan meets all kinds of women every night, but none turn his head the way that Lexi has. She’s been playing cat and mouse with him for weeks. Tonight, Sean’s determined to get Lexi to quit teasing and take a real chance on him.

Drink or Dare by Melinda Dozier
A bachelorette party Drink or Dare game pairs paramedic students, Rachel Robertson and Killian Whelan, in a flirting match. Soon, the dares threaten to turn their academic rivalry into something much more.

FLASH GIVEAWAY BLITZ with Belle Whittington

Hi, Lovelies!

When I learned that Olivia had entered to win a van equipped for someone with disabilities, I wanted to help her win.

I immediately knew the right crowd to turn to for help: BOOKWORMS! We book lovers are the warm, deep-hearted sort of folks who love to help others.

So, I thought I'd contact a group of my author and bookworm friends to see if they'd like to help me put together a giveaway to reward you for your efforts in helping us help Olivia win!

The list of booty is growing, and I'll post changes to the list on the
Flash Giveaway Blitz Event Page as more donations pour in from the awesome authors I know and love.   Please join the FB event to stay abreast of all the changes.

But, before we get to the rules of the giveaway, I wanted you to meet sweet Olivia.  So I did a little interview with her to share with you.

Hi, Olivia!  Thank you for joining us and giving us the opportunity to get to know the cutest little cowgirl in Texas! We Bloggers, Readers, and Authors are so honored to have the opportunity to join together to help you in your venture to win this awsome van!  If there’s one thing Bookworms know, it’s this:  we can do anything we set our minds to doing!

1.     Tell us about yourself.  What’s your favorite hobby or occupation?
Well let’s see. I’m 21 years old and I’m a college sophomore at Tyler Junior College. I’ll graduate in August with 2 associate degrees: radio/TV broadcasting and agriculture. I grew up showing livestock mainly lambs and heifers, but I’ve shown goats, horticulture projects and a few home economic projects at the ETX State Fair. I am a motivational speaker and have traveled all over Texas speaking. I’m the evening web producer at KYTX CBS 19 and been working there for almost a month.

2.     What’s your college major?  What do you plan to do once you graduate?
At TJC I’m a Radio/TV Broadcasting and Agriculture associate major. At UTT I will be a Multimedia Journalism major with a minor in Terrorism Studies

3.     Do you have a favorite hobby?
I love shopping, reading, hanging out with family and friends, traveling and watching movies

4.     What’s your favorite type of music?  Favorite band?
Hands down country music. I love Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, George Strait, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, and Reba

5.     Do you have a favorite book?
I have several. The Great Gatsby, To Kill a Mockingbird, and The Help.

6.     Who’s your hero … a person who’s inspired you?
I don’t have just one hero. My style comes from Lilly Pulitzer because her stuff stands out and has that classy feeling. My actions come from Jackie Kennedy, because after all “I’d rather be a Jackie, than a Marilyn.” My attitude comes from other people with disabilities or sickness that can’t get out and so I try to show people that even though I have a disability doesn’t mean I’m helpless. I think sometimes I have a better brain and bigger heart than some normal abled bodies. My Aunt Kristi died in December of 2013 and she fought cancer for so many years and never once gave up. She was such a Godly woman and never lost her faith through her journey. I think that’s where a lot of my fighting will comes from is from people like that.

7.     What’s the best thing about being a cowgirl?
My stubbornness and fighting will. I can stand on my own two feet and I don’t rely on anybody but Jesus Christ. I’ve learned a lot of my patience and responsibility from taking care of livestock. I’ve learned about buying and raising an animal, showing and finally selling to go to the market and I make money to purchase another animal. It has taught me all about life and made me the person I am.

8.     Is there anything you’d like to say to everyone reading this interview?
Never judge somebody whether they are disabled or not. Go out and chase your dreams no matter how big or crazy it may seem. Also vote for me to help me win this wheelchair accessible vehicle.  And THANK YOU for helping me win!

Thanks, Olivia!  That was fun getting to know you better!

Now, on to the contest!  WOOHOO!  There are TONS of AWESOME PRIZES!!!!  And it’s EASY TO WIN!
